Beschreibung: Two PhD positions (E13 65%) in Molecular Neuroscience are available in the research group of Prof. Ralf Enz at the Institute of Biochemistry, University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. Our group analyses neurotransmitter receptors and associated proteins in sensory tissues of the central nervous system – the retina and the cochlea. The present project concentrates on proteins that are relevant for night vision and associated with night blindness (GABA receptors, LRRTM4, GPR179).

We offer a broad methodological spectrum and excellent supervision. In return, we expect an above-average willingness to work as a team player, the ability to work independently, and a strong interest in the scientific question.
