Beschreibung: Application submission deadline: 12.05.2024.

Project: The successful applicant will develop a method to analyze oxygen (O) isotope ratios of bulk organic matter and specific organic compounds in plant and soil. The project comprises a field campaign in Sweden and the newly developed method will be applied to the collected soil and plant samples. The presentation of the results at national and international conferences and publication in peer reviewed international journals is expected.

The successful candidate should have extended knowledge of biogeochemical processes in ecosystems with a particular focus on stable isotopes and laboratory experience in wet chemistry. In addition, the candidate should have good communication skills in order to work in a highly collaborative and international environment, as well as a very good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of German is appreciated but is not a requirement.

Our offer: We are an international research group in Tübingen, a dynamic, and lively university town (www.uni-tuebingen.de) and one of the eleven German Excellence Universities.
