Beschreibung: Betreff: 2 PhD Positions in Fog Computing at the Distributed Systems Group, TU Wien, Austria

The Institute of Information Systems at Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Distributed Systems Group, is offering two fulltime positions for PhD students for three years. The expected candidates will work on the research topic "fog computing" under the supervision of Stefan Schulte and Schahram Dustdar. The main goal of these positions is to research and develop techniques and models for realizing a distributed middleware for fog computing and for optimizing resource allocation in the fog

The selected candidates will be employed fulltime by the Vienna University of Technology. Entry level salary as a pre-doc researcher (40 hours/week) is covered by level B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for university staff with a minimum salary of currently EUR 2731.00 EUR/month gross, 14 times/year.

For this position, a very good Diploma or Master university degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics, or a related discipline is expected.
